Motorola Moto G launched for $179

Motorola which was acquired by Google has launched a new device named Motorola Moto G  with an exceptional price of $179 in the US (without contract). The handset will hit Middle east, Asia, India and the US in Jan 2014. Moto G is same as the Moto X with edge-to-edge display, a curved back, Gorilla Glass and nano coating inside and outside to protect it from water splashes. It will also be launched in dual-SIM variant in few countries.

Moto G features 4.5 inch display supporting resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (pixel density of 326 ppi) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by quad core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 cortex A7 clocked processor at 1.2GHz with Adreno 305 GPU supplemented by a 1 GB of RAM. it comes with non expandable memory of 8 GB and 16 GB. For imagery, it has a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 1.3 MP front-facing camera and connectivity options of 2G/ 3G network, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi and GPS. The device is fueled by a Li-ion battery of 2,070 mAh. It runs on the Android 4.3 JellyBean with very minimal yet useful customizations from Motorola.
Moto G will carry a price tag of $179 for 8 GB model and $199 for 16 GB model. Converting the US price to INR, it will cost around Rs 12,500 which makes it a perfect choice for users buying a mid-range device without compromising on performance.
