Another local smartphone vendor Lava jumped in budget segment to compete with MOTO E. Local vendor Lava has launched Lava Iris X1 at Rs. 7,999. Recently Micromax also launched a entry level smartphone Micromax Unite 2 at Rs. 6,999 and i have checked it has been out of stock in some online store since yesterday. Specs. and Price wise Lava Iris X1 also ready to give tough competition to both Moto E and Micromax Unite 2 surely.
In terms of specifications, the Iris X1 offers Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and comes with 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS (854×480 pixels) display. It is powered by Broadcom’s BCM23550 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable with a microSD card. The phone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash and a BSI+ sensor, which can record as well as play 1080p videos, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Connectivity-wise, the phone comes with Dual-SIM support, 3G network support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and AGPS.
On the other hand comparing with Micromax Unite 2 whic comes with a 4.7-inch display WVGA (800×480 pixels) display. It is powered by a mediatek 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Connectivity options in the phone include dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Other features in the phone include of support for 21 languages. The phone is available in red, white, green and grey colors.
